This patriotic poster, showing workers carrying their tools and wearing safety helmets and goggles as they stride together beside the Stars and Stripes, reinforces one of the central message of the National Safety Council (NSC) in wartime: safe workplaces will hasten and secure victory. John B. Munroe studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and worked as a graphic designer at the NSC for 20 years.
