This poster by Milton Glaser and Seymour Chwast is a version of the one Glaser designed for the original presentation of this exhibition about Push Pin Studios at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1970. The show went on to eight venues around the world, and for each location, the designers created a variant of the image showing the Art Deco-inspired fan motif that had become part of the studio’s official stationery. This version of the original design incorporates a bolder, warmer color palette, two partial spheres in the lower register, and information in both English and Japanese appropriate to its showing in Tokyo.
