Charles Kuhn won several awards for the posters he designed for this campaign for the Swiss Telephone Company. Here, he devises a largely visual message; the typography represents the company’s name and those of the cities to which it supplies service. A photograph of a hand holding a telephone receiver is superimposed on a map of Europe; its earpiece is connected to the major European cities by radiating lines suggesting the voices emanating from it.
