This is another in the series of silkscreened posters Scher made for the 1994-95 season at the Public Theater. The lower register of the composition is dominated by an eerie photographic negative of a woman’s face, an image that effectively evokes the morbid theme of this play; it is based on the life of the great American photographer Diane Arbus, who committed suicide in 1971 at the age of 48.
