The renowned photographer Bob Talbot’s long career has been dedicated to protecting the lives and habitat of the marine creatures he photographs. He is also well-known for his work as a filmmaker; he created the wildlife sequences for movies in the Free Willy series (1993–2010) and for Flipper (1996), among others. He used the same image of a harp seal in a 1994 poster titled Protect Wildlife. The poster here poster was made partly to benefit The International Wildlife Coalition, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) founded in 1984, initially to advocate for the protection of whales.
