Nenko Atanasov founded the Poster House graphic design studio in Bulgaria with Lyuba Tomova in 2006. They are both members of the Graphic Design section of the New Vision International Group mentioned on the poster, part of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. Atansov created this poster at the invitation of the International Triennial of Theatrical Posters, Sofia for a competition it organized in Bulgaria in 2012 called “Posters for a Sustainable World.” The competition celebrated the 20th anniversary of the United Nations World Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, focusing on global environmental and social issues around the world. Atansov’s poster won second place in the competition and was exhibited in several exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad.
