In another surrealist design for Poppy Records, Glaser promotes a 1969 concert (with very inexpensive tickets even by the standards of the day) starring some of the label’s best-known performers, to be held on the eve of Thanksgiving at Carnegie Hall. In absurd and humorous reference to this holiday event titled “Poppy Gives Thanks,” he presents a cartoon turkey with the company’s signature poppy emerging from its neck in a bleak landscape. The poster also features an early example of one of Glaser’s famous typefaces, Glaser Stencil, also known as Neo Futura.
