“Nixon’s The One!” was the slogan of Richard Nixon’s 1968 presidential campaign. This poster, based on a photograph by Shelly Roseman, and showing a pregnant Black woman wearing a badge with the slogan, is a parody of one of the campaign’s official posters featuring a carefree, blonde, pregnant white woman. It implies that Nixon is not only responsible for the pregnancy but that his policies will also leave her without resources.
