This poster advertises the two available weights of Motion, a typeface that captures the frenetic energy of scribbly handwriting through intentional digital imperfections. Elisabeth Charman was interning at Emigre after completing an MFA at CalArts. She was drawn to Motion’s dizzying lines that reminded her of the feeling of motion sickness. Feeling clever, she drove to Sacramento Airport and obtained an air-sickness bag, which she then photographed and inserted into the lower area of the poster.
