This is a promotional poster for one of Exhibit Supply Company’s comedy card sets titled “Blind Date,” presenting various undesirable candidates like the one seen on the left. The company, founded in Chicago in 1901, manufactured both coin-operated arcade machines of all kinds and served as a publishing house for the millions of novelty picture cards like the one shown here, designed to be stocked in its dispensing machines. The “Blind Date” set, issued in 1941, would have been in wide circulation during the war.
