This poster was produced for the 1976 rerelease in German cinemas of the 1967 American film Hells Angels on Wheels, a biker movie featuring real Hells Angels and starring Jack Nicholson; it was first released in Germany in 1968 under the name Die Wilden Schläger von San Francisco (The Wild Thugs of San Francisco). Apart from the small inset film still, the design is extremely close to that of the original German promotional poster for the film and was issued by Constantin Film, an important film producer and distributor since 1950 with headquarters in Munich.
