In 1904, illustrator Grace Drayton introduced the world to the Campbell Kids, a group of rosy-cheeked mascots used throughout the subsequent decades to sell the brand’s soup. Here, John Alcorn brings these classic characters into the psychedelic age. The image originally appeared in magazines with the lower-right corner blocked out by promotional copy telling readers that if they sent in three different Campbell’s Soup labels and 50 cents, they would receive the full-size “biggy” poster.
