Like others in Charles White III’s Zodiac series, this poster was produced by Portal Publications of California, known for its reproductions of vintage movie posters. Here he again subverts the saccharine tendencies of popular astrological imagery, setting the two fish traditionally used to represent Pisces against what appears to be a tiled bathroom wall. He describes one fish in glossy, airbrushed, red plastic blowing gold balls instead of bubbles, and the other as a droopy creature in insipid blue watercolor.
