Scher designed this poster for an event presented by Metropolis magazine in San Francisco promoting “the world’s finest branders” in every design field from architecture to e-commerce. It is a characteristically clever, typography-heavy design; the large dishwashing liquid bottle at the center is unmarked but Scher shows the name of the event in the bold, colorful lettering typically found on such household products and displays further information about its speakers, sponsors, and participants in information boxes that are similarly found on these items. Metropolis is an architecture and design magazine focused on innovation and sustainability. It was founded in New York in 1981.
