This poster promotes the Preysing-Palais, a lavish, Baroque-style banquet hall located in the former residence of the Counts of Preysing in Munich. The chef, with a knife and sharpener strapped to his hip, proudly presents some of the many local delights on offer, from sausages and peas to an enormous game pie, topped by an anthropomorphic pie vent shaped like a pheasant. The accompanying text indicates that the restaurant served breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner at affordable prices.
