Ludwig Holhwein designed this poster while he was working in the United States during the 1920s as a commercial illustrator. Like some of his other designs, it features a man and his dog(s), in this case a hunter with his gun, shown contemplating the value of the slightly more expensive Fatima cigarette he is smoking. It is one of several posters Hohlwein designed for Fatima and similarly reflects his transition to the traditional style that dominated American advertising until well after World War II.
