This is one of many posters designed by Ralph Moses for the National Safety Council. As the two shadowy and grotesquely caricatured figures of Adolf Hitler and Emperor Hirohito gloat in the background, a munitions worker’s injury is a bloody reminder of the military cost of the work time he will lose. Again, the NSC emphasizes the relationship between safe working practices and Allied victory.
