This is one of around three hundred posters published during World War II by the conservative Think American Institute (TAI) of Rochester, New York, as part of its long-running Think American poster series. It is probably the work of C.R. Miller, the lead designer and art director of Kelly-Read & Co., which published TAI’s weekly posters on patriotic and capitalist themes. Miller often incorporated one or more hands rather than whole figures into his designs, and this composition is unusually spare and avant-garde in style.
