In this poster, his colorful, idiosyncratic design shows the peace dove marching on the legs of five random men and women, distinctively clothed in spots, stripes, and carefully described shoes, suggesting a diverse population united in a single cause. It promotes a 1982 march for peace and justice held in New York City in support of the U.N.’s special session on disarmament; approximately one million protestors attended the event in Central Park.
