Chwast’s 1984 poster advertising an exhibition about Brooklyn’s amusement parks and leisure areas at the Museum of the Borough of Brooklyn is predictably unpredictable. Rather than suggesting the range of local entertainments presented in the exhibition, he instead draws the viewer’s attention with a huge, slightly alarming-looking grinning head. In 1987, this poster was one of 15 by Chwast that were reprinted by Mohawk Paper Mills as part of a campaign to introduce its Nuance and Ultrafelt paper lines.
